Catholic on purpose

little moments full of grace

Marian Consecration

I like to imagine the Wedding Feast at Cana. I equate myself to the water, unfit for a wedding feast. Mary takes me gently to the feet of her Son. She says, “do whatever he tells you.” Somewhere along the way, with the help of Mary’s intercession, I will be turned into wine fit for a wedding feast. She has made it her personal concern to help me.

I wasn’t even in a state of grace. It had been 6 years since my last confession and the fog of sin was so heavy. I didn’t know where to begin or how to start over. It felt like I had fallen too far and the uphill battle would be impossible. But I heard about 33 Days to Morning Glory, a do-it-yourself Marian retreat, and I’ve heard that Mary is the help of sinners. I thought it was a good place to start.

I made the consecration, was inspired to go to Confession and by the grace of God began to change my life. She lifted the fog and encouraged me. She pointed me again and again to her Son, whom I couldn’t seem to find. And after my consecration to her, I found the grace to begin praying the Rosary every day. My life was and is completely transformed through her!

Starting April 28th, I will be re-consecrating myself to Mary and I’d love for you to join me. You can find the book here.

By entrusting ourselves and our loved ones to Mary we are imitating God as he entrusted Jesus to her tender care. We are following Jesus as he said,

“Woman, here is your son,” and to the disciple, “Here is your mother.”

John 19:25-27

The end of the 33 days will fall on the Feast of Mary, Mother of the Church, the day right after Pentecost Sunday. I hope you will begin this journey with me! If you have questions about it, need assistance purchasing the book, or have any special prayer requests you’d like me to pray for, please please reach out to me.

Another option is to follow @manyhailmarysatatime on Instagram and tune in for their live Rosary every morning. After they do the Rosary, they will be reading the short devotion out loud.

As always, I hope you are all safe and healthy. God bless!

Totus tuus ego sum et omnia mea tua sunt.

I am totally yours and all that I have is yours.
